360 Sync Continues to Evolve Based on Real User Feedback

April 15, 2025

Why 360 Sync?

360 Sync Product Manager, Michael Reuter, discusses his experience starting the digital platform and new features that have recently been added to enhance performance.

"People often ask why 360 Sync was created. To answer that, I’ll share a bit of my background. Before becoming the Product Manager for 360 Sync, I worked as a BIM Coordinator and Project Engineer at Walsh Construction. A significant part of my role involved managing and distributing files across multiple platforms.

Every time I received updated files from architects, engineers, or subcontractors, I had to manually upload them to four different systems: our internal server, SharePoint, BIM 360 for field access, and Newforma for the architect. This repetitive process consumed one to two hours of my day and was both inefficient and frustrating.

When I joined Evolve, I was asked to identify a broken workflow in the industry. I immediately pointed to this issue. That conversation led to the development of 360 Sync — a tool designed to automate file transfers and eliminate tedious, repetitive tasks. With 360 Sync, teams can save valuable time and focus on high-impact work, or simply get home earlier."

New 360 Sync Feature: RFI Integration with Autodesk and Procore

One of this month's key enhancements to 360 Sync is the new ability to copy and manage RFIs from Autodesk. Users can now extract RFI data and save it as a document or PDF across any of the platforms 360 Sync connects with.

There are two flexible options for handling RFI files:

  1. Download the RFI cover sheet along with all associated attachments and organize them into a folder.

  2. Merge the RFI cover sheet and attachments into a single, consolidated PDF within a dedicated folder.

Additionally, 360 Sync now supports bi-directional RFI synchronization between Autodesk and Procore — enabling seamless data transfer between the two platforms. Whether you're moving an RFI from Procore to Autodesk or vice versa, this automation simplifies workflows and reduces manual effort.

New 360 Sync Feature: Autodesk Submittals Integration

360 Sync now includes robust support for Autodesk submittals, enabling users to back up and transfer submittal data to any connected platform with ease. This new capability significantly streamlines the submittal backup process for many of our clients.

In addition, we’ve introduced bi-directional integration between Autodesk and Procore, allowing submittal records to be copied and preserved across both systems—not just as static files, but as complete, structured data. Whether you're moving records from Procore to Autodesk or vice versa, this ensures greater consistency and efficiency in project documentation.

Metadata Integration with Procore and Autodesk

360 Sync now supports the ability to download and transfer metadata—such as sets and tags—between Procore and Autodesk. This ensures that key project information is preserved and consistently shared across platforms.

We can show you how this works, explore its capabilities, or implement it in your own workflows.

New 360 Sync Feature: Autodesk Sheets Integration

360 Sync now offers seamless integration with the Autodesk Sheets tool, allowing users to download sheets as PDFs to any connected platform or upload PDFs directly into Autodesk Sheets. Users can upload individual sheets or entire sets, and also define specific sets when downloading.

In addition, 360 Sync supports bi-directional sheet transfer between Autodesk and Procore—enabling users to move sheets from Autodesk to the Procore Drawings tool and vice versa. Metadata such as sets and tags can also be transferred between platforms, ensuring consistency and organization across tools.

New Integration: Egnyte and 360 Sync

One of the most exciting updates this month is 360 Sync’s new integration with Egnyte. Using Egnyte’s API, users can now seamlessly transfer files to and from the platform, streamlining file management across systems.

This feature was developed in direct response to customer demand, with over 20 clients requesting the integration—demonstrating our commitment to delivering practical solutions.

At Evolve, our mission with 360 Sync is to eliminate repetitive, manual tasks and empower project teams to work more efficiently. This month’s updates reflect that commitment, with powerful new integrations and enhancements designed to streamline document management, improve collaboration, and save valuable time.

From advanced RFI and submittal syncing between Autodesk and Procore to expanded support for metadata, sheets, and Egnyte file transfers, 360 Sync continues to evolve based on real feedback from our users. Each feature was developed to solve practical challenges in the field, allowing teams to focus more on project execution and less on administrative overhead.

If you're interested in learning more, seeing any of these features in action, or implementing them into your workflow, we encourage you to reach out to our team. We're here to help you get the most out of 360 Sync.
