New Issue Management Integration Between Autodesk and Procore

One of the exciting new features in the latest version of 360 Sync is the ability to seamlessly transfer observations and punch list items between Autodesk and Procore. You can now copy issues from Autodesk into Procore—or vice versa—bringing enhanced flexibility and efficiency to your issue management workflow.

In this demo, I’ll walk you through how this functionality works.

We’ll start by launching 360 Sync and adding a new project. Since we're working with issues, we’ll select the “Issue Management” project type and name it "Issues to Punch List and Observations."

Our first task is to transfer issues from Autodesk to Procore.

  • I’ll select Autodesk as the source and Procore as the destination.

  • Next, I’ll choose the appropriate project and company from both platforms.

  • In this example, I want to copy both Observations and Punch List items from Autodesk into a corresponding project in Procore.

  • Once selected, I’ll name this configuration "ACC2Procore."

Now, let's look at the reverse workflow—copying issues from Procore to Autodesk.

  • I’ll select Procore as the source this time.

  • After choosing the appropriate project and company, I’ll specify which items I want to copy. For this demo, I’ll transfer only Punch List items.

  • Then, I’ll select the target company in Autodesk where these items will be imported as issues.

  • I’ll name this setup "Punch List to ACC" and save the configuration.

As with all 360 Sync jobs, you can schedule this sync to run automatically on a daily basis, or you can execute it manually. For the purposes of this demonstration, I’ll run it immediately.

With the sync now in progress, let’s review the results in both Autodesk and Procore.

  • In Autodesk, we can see several issues categorized as punch list items.

  • Checking Procore, we confirm that these items have been successfully transferred.

  • Similarly, the punch list and observation items from Procore have been imported into Autodesk as expected.

As demonstrated, syncing issue data between Autodesk and Procore is a straightforward process using 360 Sync. If you're looking to integrate your issue workflows between these platforms, this new feature makes it both simple and efficient.

Enhanced Submittal Workflow Customization Between Autodesk and Procore

In a previous update, we introduced a submittal workflow integration between Autodesk and Procore. With our latest release, we’ve expanded this functionality by adding new customization options to give you more control over which submittals are transferred between platforms.

When copying submittals from Procore to Autodesk, you now have three filtering options based on submittal status and response. These options are available directly within the sync settings:

  1. Closed & Approved

    • This option transfers only those submittals that have a status of Closed and a response of Approved.

    • It provides the most selective filtering and typically results in the smallest number of submittals being transferred.

  2. Closed with Any Final Response

    • This option includes submittals that are Closed, with a response of Approved, Rejected, or Revise and Resubmit.

    • It ensures that all closed submittals with a finalized response are included in the sync.

  3. All Closed Submittals

    • This setting captures all submittals with a status of Closed, regardless of the response.

    • It offers the broadest scope and is recommended for project archival purposes, when you want a comprehensive record of submittals.

These new customization options provide greater flexibility, helping you tailor submittal transfers to meet your project needs more precisely.

New In-App Help Desk and Walkthroughs in 360 Sync

We’ve recently introduced a built-in help desk within 360 Sync to provide users with guided, step-by-step walkthroughs for key tasks. This new feature is designed to improve user experience by making it easier to learn and navigate core workflows directly within the platform.

With our latest update, we’ve added three interactive walkthroughs:

  1. Creating and Scheduling a Project
This guide walks users through the complete process—from creating a new project, selecting which files to sync, choosing destination locations, and saving the configuration.

  2. Scheduling Assistance
For help with setting up scheduled syncs, users can simply click the light bulb icon located in the interface. This provides clear instructions for automating sync operations.

  3. Advanced Settings Overview
We’ve also included detailed explanations for all advanced settings. Users can explore each option, learn what it does, and understand how to enable or configure it based on their needs.

These new resources are aimed at making 360 Sync more user-friendly and helping both new and existing users get the most out of the platform.

New Feature: Automated Handling of Special Characters in File Names

We’ve recently introduced a valuable new feature in response to feedback from many of our customers who encounter issues with files containing special or “funky” characters in their names—such as percent signs (%), ampersands (&), tildes (~), slashes (/), and greater than/less than symbols (< >).

These characters often cause file sync failures when transferring files between Windows and Autodesk platforms or other environments. To address this, we’ve developed an advanced setting that automatically manages these problematic characters.

By accessing your project’s settings and clicking the yellow gear icon to select Edit Advanced Settings, you can enable 360 Sync to automatically replace any illegal characters in file names with a dash (“-”). This ensures that files with special characters will now sync successfully without errors.

This enhancement streamlines your sync process by preventing failures related to file naming conventions, improving reliability across platforms.
