EVOLVE Content on Demand: Now at Your Fingertips
April 3, 2026
EVOLVE launched EVOLVE Content on Demand as a way to fulfill customer requests for Revit content that works natively with EVOLVE.
Why Content on Demand Exists
As EVOLVE customers continue to scale their prefabrication and automation efforts, one theme consistently surfaced: the need for more content, faster.
Whether it’s:
A new hanger configuration
A fabrication service not included out of the box
A manufacturer‑specific fitting or valve
Modifications to existing RFAs or ITMs
These requests aren’t generic Revit asks. They’re EVOLVE‑ready requests: content that must work seamlessly with hanger placement, sleeve placement, parameter sync rules, connectors, metadata, and downstream automation.
Content on Demand was created to fill this gap: a structured way to request specialized content that aligns with the EVOLVE ecosystem and supports real‑world prefab workflows.
Officially Built Into Your Workflow
Today, Content on Demand is accessible directly from the Content Browser.
When you’re modeling and realize you need something that doesn’t exist yet:
Click the Content on Demand button
The request form opens immediately
You submit the request without breaking your workflow
No hunting. No tickets. No guesswork.
What the Request Process Looks Like
The Content on Demand is designed to gather the right information upfront so content can be delivered faster and more accurately.
You’ll be asked to think through:
Specifications and product data
The purpose of the content
How it will be used in your workflows
Any manufacturer or project‑specific requirements
The more complete the initial request, the faster EVOLVE can scope, build, and deliver the content.
Development Pathways: Standard vs. Expedited
Not all content requests are equal, so Content on Demand offers two primary development pathways.
1. Standard Development (No Additional Cost)
This pathway is ideal for non‑urgent requests.
Similar to a traditional feature request
Reviewed by Product Management
Added to the backlog for potential inclusion in a future release
Delivered through normal release cycles if approved
This option is best when timing is flexible and the request aligns with broader roadmap goals.
2. Expedited Development (May Include Service Cost)
For mission‑critical needs, expedited development allows you to move to the front of the line.
EVOLVE works directly with you to scope the request
Resources are prioritized outside of normal planning cycles
Content is developed and delivered directly
The content may later appear in a standard release
Because this pathway requires dedicated resources, a service cost may apply.
Custom Development (Case‑by‑Case)
In some cases, a request may be deemed highly custom and outside of EVOLVE's product strategy.
When that happens:
EVOLVE will confirm whether you want to proceed
Scope and costs are clearly communicated
Development continues only with your approval
No matter the pathway, there is always a clear avenue forward.
Examples of Common Requests
To give you a sense of what Content on Demand supports, here are a few common scenarios:
Mechanical
New fabrication services for piping systems
Manufacturer‑specific fittings or valves
Custom service configurations
Electrical / RFA
New conduit types
Modified factory bends or elbows
Equipment RFAs
Hangers & Supports
Company‑specific hanger modifications
Alternate attachments or load‑bearing options
Custom hardware or metadata
Parameter sync rules for reporting and automation
If it’s specific to how your shop builds and installs, it’s likely a good candidate for Content on Demand.
Submit a Content on Demand request directly from the Content Browser and let EVOLVE handle the rest.
Your content. Your process. Delivered when you need it.
