EVOLVE 10.2: Helping Detailers Get Drawings Out the Door Faster

September 9, 2026—EVOLVE today announced the release of EVOLVE Electrical and EVOLVE Mechanical 10.2, introducing Auto Tag Arrangement to help contractors accelerate drawing production and increase detailing capacity without adding headcount or changing their existing workflows.

It takes approximately two minutes to manually arrange tags on a spool sheet. With the new Auto Tag Arrangement feature, this same task can be completed in ~15 seconds, an 88% reduction in time.

For a detailing team producing 100 spools, that adds up to approximately three hours saved. Across a 2,000-spool project, teams using Automatic Tag Arrangement can save ~60 hours, enabling them to move more quickly from completed models to released drawings, fabrication, and field installation.

“Detailing teams need to spend their time on the modeling and coordination decisions that require their expertise,” said Adam Heon, Vice President of Product at EVOLVE. “By reducing the repetitive work involved in drawing production, EVOLVE 10.2 gives contractors more capacity to meet project schedules and move work into fabrication sooner.”

This release reflects EVOLVE’s continued investment in helping electrical and mechanical contractors increase the ROI of their VDC and prefabrication operations. As project volumes grow, small improvements repeated across hundreds or thousands of spools can create meaningful gains in team capacity and production throughput.

EVOLVE Electrical and Mechanical 10.2 are available beginning September 9, 2026. Current customers can update to version 10.2 and use Auto Tag Arrangement on their next spool sheet. Contractors interested in evaluating the potential time savings for their projects can request a demonstration here
